Sketchworks 7 Design Challenge 3



My design is just four strong sponges that are  positioned in strategic locations around the inside of the fan so that when the blade spins,the blades just brush past the sponges .

There will be a water container that we must  refill whenever we need to clean the fan.Once we turn it on,the water will be pumped to the sponges thus cleaning the blades.

There is  a bin below to collect water

This is available in many different sizes

Energy Conservation Video 2


  1. Who do you think are the target audience of this clip?        I think the target audience is kids
  2. What do you think are the main key messages that the clip is trying to communicate? They are to change your bulbs to CFL bulbs as they save electricity
  3. Do you think the clip is effective? Why or why not? The clips is effective to everyone especially kids as they get to the point in a very fun way.
  4. How do you think the messaging/clip could be further improved?I think that they can say how CFL bulbs save electricity.

  1. What do you think are some of the limitations of using renewable energy resources, based on the clip that you have seen? 
            You cannot really use renewable energy resources in areas near residence as renewable energy  will cause problems such as using up too much residential space , obstructing views, making too much noise .etc
       
       2.    What are some possible solutions that the video have suggested?

             You can use it further away from residence and for windmills,you can use smaller blades

       3. How do you think Energy Conservation messages can be communicated effectively in the school or local          context? Give or suggest some examples.

I think that Energy Conservation can be communicated effectively in  schools or to the public via campaigns or talks.You can also provide examples to the audience
